Family photos: Camping in Alaska

I love family photoshoots that involve us DOING something. And I dont mean a fake set up- I mean this family was really camping for the weekend. And so I met them at their campground ( I actually stayed at a nearby campground too and made a trip out of it!) and we did their favorite camping activities- some biking and adventuring and enjoying the sunshine! The smiles are genuine because the kids are actually happy and enjoying themselves because they love camping! And thats why I love it so much!

Family photos can be too serious sometimes. And I get it… you’re hiring a photographer, you’re picking the outfits out, inevitably mom gets a little stressed, dad and kids can feel it, and kids dont always do well when there’s a pressure to “perform” for a new person (photographer) so I say… lets skip all that nonsense and schedule family photos of you doing something your family actually really enjoys! I promise you, the photos will be waaayyyyy better!
