We’re going to keep it real with you. Because that’s just how we are. There was a time in both our lives that we didn’t really believe in the whole marriage thing. And maybe rolled our eyes at all the couples who talked about falling in love. And then… we met. And everything changed. Now we are that couple. We basically can’t keep our hands off each other (sorry not sorry). We have fun doing literally anything and everything. And though we were pretty cool before we met… but we’re way better together.

So when we started to talk about the possibility of getting married, it went from “ why do we need a piece of paper to prove our love?” to “why would we not want to be married?’ What was once fear and aversion to commitment and vows (and labels) was now something that excited us. Writing vows to each other, taking part in a sacred ceremony only for us and yes, being labeled husband and wife… it felt so intimate and powerful and fun. And that is what we wanted- for us. and that is what we want to document for you.

Most of the wedding industry just feels like a giant scam. It feels fake. And probably because most people are going through the motions because that’s what they feel like they have to do.
But did you know that there aren’t actually any rules?
Did you know that you can get married literally however you want and you can keep the focus about what it’s really about?
Because what actually matters is you and your love and your sacred union. That’s it. And if you want a giant party to celebrate it, that’s totally cool. Do it. And do it because that’s really what you want.

But just know, that it doesn’t always have to look like that. Your wedding can also look like you and your lover waking up together, enjoying your coffee and breakfast and saying vows in your back yard with 2 (or zero) people in attendance. Maybe your wedding looks like a hike to your favorite spot or camping trip in the woods. Maybe your wedding involves a few close friends and family members. And maybe you want to fly to a glacier and have a fancy set up for photos. But maybe you want to have a backyard barbecue or pizza party with your friends. Whatever it is, we think your wedding day should be authentic and a representation of you and your love.
